Meet Some Cactophiles

The Tucson Cactus and Succulent Society has about 1,400 Members and they are always willing to share Cactus and other Succulents information.  We have newcomers, hobbyists, plant growers, some who specialize in a particular specie, commercial business owners, propagation experts, academic experts, authors and several who travel in many areas such as Mexico and South America doing research and photography of special plants.

Meetings: Our first Thursday Monthly Meetings provide a great venue to meet new people and connect with other enthusiasts. Unfortunately we are having to do virtual zoom meeting for a while but we do have some visiting before and after the presentations.

Plant Sales: We have about three or four rescued cactus plant sales per year and always invite our Member Businesses to participate with us and sell their plants and other items.  This is a great time to ask questions and get some good advice or help get a plant identified. 

Cactus Rescues:  Crew members are great at sharing information and always anxious to learn from others.  A good opportunity to bring a plant to ask for identification or some care help.

Workdays: Pima Prickly Park workdays are usually Thursday mornings, a small group of volunteers perform various tasks of their choosing, usually five to ten members show up.  Lots of knowledge here to share with all.  An email to park @ tucsoncactus.org will get you in touch with Linda for more information about the workdays.
