The Pima County Parks Dept. has asked TCSS to collaborate in the development of Desert Haven Natural Resource Park.

On July 29, 2021 several of our volunteers joined the Pima County Nursery staff for a planting event at Desert Haven.

This cooperative effort offers a host of opportunities to advance the TCSS mission.
We are in a brainstorming / planning process here but obvious opportunities include;

• Demonstration landscape designs using native plants from our rescues
• Adult educational outreach classes on planning & caring for native plants in a landscape
• STEM classroom supplementation for local grade schools
• Signed "nature trails" for native plant ID

We invite members to contribute other ways that we can advance the TCSSW mission of learning, teaching and conservation. What are your thoughts?
