What We Do |
- Present educational talks related to cactus and succulents at monthly meetings
- Develop and manage 7-acre public county desert park Pima Prickly Park Park Video
- Operate an all-volunteer rescue crew to relocate at-risk cactus and succulents
- Sell very affordable rescued plants to members and the public
- Publish a monthly newsletter with society and educational information
- Provide a wealth of information about cactus and succulents on our website
- Operate three Facebook sites to share information and answer questions
- Publish a Field Guide describing all native cacti and other succulents of Arizona
- Operate a private library with a fine collection of cactus and succulent books
- Provide K-12 school grants for teacher-led cactus and succulent projects
- Provide research grants to further understand cactus and succulents
- Provide conservation grants help to protect certain cactus and succulent species
- Plan and conduct desert garden tours for TCSS members
- Conduct an annual auction to make free, reasonably priced and special plants available to members
